Notes: We want to give an extended thanks to Morgan for fostering Luka since Spring. He is still available through Wise Co VA Animal Shelter and can be adopted out of the county since he is now fixed - thank you Paula Coffey.

Luka will be best as an only dog home. He is a dominant male. He walks well on a leash and is fine around other dogs while leashed. He is not aggressive in nature. He is very loving to his humans and he is not destructive. Luka has so much potential. He is potty trained and would do well with crate training. We are happy to answer any questions about Luka.

There is no adoption fee but you must spay/neuter the animal and have the pet vaccinated against Rabies within 30 days of adoption. Dogs kept in Wise County must have a County Dog License.

• Adoption of dogs is open to residents of Lee, Scott, Wise, Russell and Dickenson County areas of Virginia.
• WCAS will allow dogs to be adopted if the adoption application is approved by WCDS and the Animal Control Officer in the county the animal will go to.
• All adopted animals are required to be spayed or neutered by VA Code Section 3.1-796.126:3 at the adopters expense. Also, VA Code Section 3.1-796.97:1 requires all owners of a domesticated dog or cat to have the animal vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian when the animal reaches the age of 4 months.
