Notes: Duke is a very handsome 2 year old boy that has found himself at the Wise County VA Animal Shelter due to no fault of his own. He is a big boy at 71 lbs and he is good with other dogs and children. Duke has a current rabies vaccine and has been neutered, he rides well in a car, Duke has some fears but will get over them with love and understanding of a caring home.

- Adoption of dogs is open to residents of Lee, Scott, Wise, Russell and Dickenson County areas of Virginia.
- WCAS will allow dogs to be adopted if the adoption application is approved by WCDS and the Animal Control Officer in the county the animal will go to.
- All adopted animals are required to be spayed or neutered by VA Code Section 3.1-796.126:3 at the adopters expense. Also, VA Code Section 3.1-796.97:1 requires all owners of a domesticated dog or cat to have the animal vaccinated against rabies by a licensed veterinarian when the animal reaches the age of 4 months.
